She stood gazing at all the faces as they casually sat sipping in the Summer sun. Saying hello to strangers always intrigued her, as for the most part, it would be a fleeting visit. Breathing the same air for a while, until each person moved back into the pace of life they chose.

But today one face stood out.

As he stood talking to her she realised that she felt she had met him before.

Like the world had stopped spinning for a while. Memory lane had been opened up. Her veins and every part of her feeling his presence wildly within.

Leaving him didn’t feel like an option. A magnetic switch. Moved permanently to on.

Love at first sight, is it really a thing? Can two souls really be reunited? As if they were once whole then split into two?

The above story was my first encounter with my soul mate Freedy Sohail. What makes it even more romantic is we were in Berkley Square in Mayfair. One of the most lush areas in London.

My reality was far from romantic. I describe this time of life as a time where I was “sitting on the anthesis of change.” Six months prior to this meet I had been engaged and talking of starting a family.

Well, that didn’t happen!

So I was now embracing the unconventional approach to life. At 33 I got rid of all my possessions. And wanted to experience life the lighter way.

When I feel back into that night Freedy and I met, my whole body feels excitement. This chance meeting a turning point in my life. Hooking me back up and switching me back into my wild within.

I was living a life conforming to society’s beliefs and struggling often to feel a sense of achievement. I was very goal orientated. The softness of my edges as a female had been wiped away by years of ‘misjudged’ love.

A spark of renewed respect teaching me that new adventures were on the horizon.

I remember sitting with a couple of friends who had been married for a long time. Both had kids. They had forgotten the essence of themselves. They let out the usual moans and groans of a wife and mother.

Unappreciated. Hard Work. Frazzled.

I felt so high on this new love. But more than that. I felt high on the fact I had met a human who was ready also to embrace the wild within. Buck the trend. Go on an adventure.

As I sat listening to these women, disconnected from their own self-love power supply, I felt so passionately about the equal responsibility it took to be ‘in love’. I began to realise that a healthy relationship was formed when both people could stay rooted and connected to their individuality.

Co-existence becomes co-creation when you are both ready to fall wildly into any experience. It became obvious as the time passed between Freedy and me that detachment in love created wild and wonderful explorations of what it truly meant to be in a relationship.

I feel so much love for this man that I could cry at the visceral tenderness lit up in the depths of my soul. His heart is so good. His skin is so soft. This man would help anyone. He is so generous with his time. He is kind.

I wanted a baby. Yet it didn’t come. Inside I am still wild for the man.

Wild for the love and compassion. Wild for the unwritten score which plays every day between us. Silently supporting us as we ebb and flow with life.

I love this co-creative path we walk together each day. How we understand each other. And most of all, how we allow each other to be exactly what we need to be. On any given day. Hour. Year.

Ignited Souls United.

I met him as a young woman lost and ambitious. Today I meet him fully expressed. I meet him openly connected with my wild woman within.
